Mieszko honored in Guinness World Record attempt

May 15, 2005 the first "Guitar day" was held in Örebro, Sweden. The idea was to collect as many guitar players as possible to play at the same time.

There weren't enough guitar players present to beat the old world record, but instead the participents aimed for another world record instead, namely playing one song as long as possible.

For 2 hours, 2 minutes and 35 seconds they played Bob Dylan's "Knockin' on Heaven's Door", which probably is a new world record (they are still waiting for a comment from Guinness).

The man behind the whole "Guitar day" is Leslie Kot. Leslie is a friend of the Talarczyk family and also the man who taught Mieszko to play the guitar. Just before they started playing the song Leslie dedicated the whole thing to Mieszko.
